Lil' Chuck, the One Man Skiffle Machine (otherwise known as Christchurch musician David Thorpe) does a great job of simultaneously playing guitar and harmonica as well as a rhythm section comprising a high-hat and bass drum.
This latest offering, follows in the tradition of many blues and country greats, telling stories about aspects of his life, his experiences, and the people who mean the most to him in song. Surviving the Christchurch earthquake and experiencing milestones such as the birth of a child have provided material for tracks (namely My House is Falling Down and My Baby's Gonna Come respectively). Others deal with universal themes such as being madly in love, with the stomping Love Train.
