What should people look for when they are buying vintage clothing?
Buy what you like!
If someone wanted to collect vintage clothing, where would you recommend starting from?
Do your homework, purchase a piece when you see it. If you are going to wear it and it and it needs to be shortened, never cut the material off, just turn it up and hem.
If people want to accessorise with vintage items, what would you recommend looking out for?
Colour coordinate using bangles, coloured beads and earrings.
How should people care and store their vintage clothing?
Store a nice dry place.
Do you have any good laundry tips you could share for delicate or special items?
Hand wash your clothes and if it is wool try not to wash too often, just air in the sun and wind. Only wash if needed.
Any styling tips for people wanting to incorporate vintage into their wardrobe?
Don't over fuss. Buy clothing with a little bit of room so you don't stress the material and enjoy your look. If it makes you smile then your styling is perfect for you
Unfortunately prices of new goods are now so low, they're often cheaper that secondhand. Why is it better for people invest in vintage/secondhand rather than buying new?
If you are a man buying vintage and it fits, looks good and not too expensive, buy it! Mens vintage is hard to find.
